The Verdeca by Marco Ludovico is a white wine of great territorial typicity, produced with artisanal spirit, using grapes from one of the few native white grape varieties from Puglia amidst the sea of rosé grapes in the region. It is a wine that captivates with its fresh and savory profile, with delicate floral and fruity notes that make each sip pleasant, direct, and immediate. The exclusive vinification in steel helps to preserve the varietal fragrance of Verdeca intact. It is a perfect wine to enjoy during an aperitif or with delicate seafood appetizers.

The Verdeca wine originates in the countryside of Mottola, where the Puglian winemaker Marco Ludovico cultivates the 32 hectares of his estate, with grape varieties historically present in the region. The estate is located north of the city of Taranto, near the Regional Natural Park Terra delle Gravine. The Ludovico family has been involved in viticulture for 3 generations, and Marco took over the company after gaining extensive experience in Italy and abroad to enrich his knowledge base. His The philosophy is strongly rooted in the tradition of the territory and in a vision of wine as a fruit of the land and the patient work in the vineyard, to obtain quality grapes. In the winery, practices are followed that are very respectful of the raw material, with minimal human intervention and delicate aging, which do not alter the typically varietal character of the wines.

The white Verdeca by Marco Ludovico is a wine that comes from vineyards cultivated at an altitude between 280 and 370 meters above sea level, on soils rich in skeleton, of a rather heterogeneous matrix, with predominantly calcareous and tuffaceous components. At the end of the soft pressing, the must ferments in temperature-controlled steel tanks and ages for six months in steel tanks on the fine lees. In the glass, it has a slightly hazy straw-yellow color, with greenish reflections. The olfactory profile is subtle and delicate, with floral scents, aromas of citrus, white fruit, and notes of wild herbs from the Mediterranean scrub. The sip is light and smooth, with a fragrant profile and a very fresh finish, which closes.on savory notes. A white to discover, to dispel the common belief of Puglia as a land of red wines.
